a SAAB X Miata. I dig the idea a lot, and want to get something like that right. I’m not there yet, but I can really see a lot of promise in the concept.
It’s gotta be electric. It’d
take some tricky convertible-top geometry to work, hence the high rear deck. Needs some large, solid surfaces, and some airflow through and through.
Thanks, y’all, for the challenges. I need the workouts. Let’s sketch some more.

This is awesome.
Man, do i need to start drawing again.

Does it say electric SAAB roadster? I haven’t convinced myself yet, but I really like the idea.

Th e roofline does look a lot like the old 900 convertible so I say the convertible part works. And the windshield is SAAB.

Sketch some more? What about a modern Buick Roadmaster Wagon (essentially just a wagonized Enclave, I guess)? Or a modern version of the Honda CX500 motorcycle with the notable sideways v-twin? Or a modern MGB GT!
I wish I could draw, lol.

Right. So what if SAAB made a Miata? It’d need some tricksy latches and stuff on the A pillar, and if it’s electric and you don’t have to worry about engine packaging, and it needs to look Swedish... that last part I haven’t gotten right yet.

Looks like an Alpine A110

Well, that’s flattering.

I’d say so! Meant as a compliment for sure

When I think swedish I tend to think boxy/chunky.

Ugh, this was a reply to your comment above about making it “look swedish”.

I love the Alpine (never having even seen, let alone driven it). There are some surfaces that I don’t think work right, and I wish they’d gone farther ahead, rather than back. But what I would give to have been a part of that design team, and making the case for it.

Sorry, I can’t seem to Kinja today.
Okay, as for suggestions, h ere’s one for you: a modern ‘68-’70 Formula 1 car.
I love the experimental, weird mishmash of old and new in that era. They have a very “form follows function” racecar look, but not overly sleek like todays CFD’d and wind-tunneled cars.
Also, bonus points if it has a hot-vee w/ snake bundle exhaust!

You and me both. Apparently Kinja and Firefox aren’t going to play nice.
I love bundles of snakes, burned to a crisp. That era of F1 is pretty much the best.
